Guest Info & FAQ

Am I allowed to bring a date?

Unfortunately, if you are not married or engaged, we are not allowing our guests to bring a date.  Due to the size of our guest list, we were unable to invite many of our friends, and there is not enough space for extra guests.  We apologize and hope you can understand.

The number of seats reserved for your party will be specified on the RSVP card included with your invitation.

May I bring my child/baby to the wedding?

Our venue will not be providing accommodations for children/babies (changing tables, high chairs, etc) so we strongly encourage guests if possible to not bring their children/babies.   However we do understand the need to bring your child with you if no childcare can be found.

I notice on my invitation that the wedding takes place on the fourth floor.  I am physically unable to climb that many stairs, what should I do?

Metropolitan Building will have freight elevator access for all of our guests.  Rest assured that the stairs will not be an issue.

What should I expect in terms of parking?

Unfortunately Metropolitan Building does not provide parking, but there will be ample street parking for all of our guests since the venue is not located in a residential area, and local businesses are closed on Saturdays.  Public transportation by subway is also an option if you are not comfortable with street parking.

As a guest traveling from out of town, do you have any hotel recommendations?

The hotel we recommend is the Country Inn & Suites located on 40-34 Crescent Street , Long Island City New York 11101.  The hotel is 0.7 miles from our wedding venue, the Metropolitan building.  It is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive.  They offer free continental breakfast, Wifi internet and reasonable room prices.  They also offer a 25% discount for advanced booking as well.
