While I was sewing ties, I last minute decided to make a dress for that same wedding. I only had time to make it the day before the wedding, so it was a huge rush, so I didn’t take many pictures. But here’s the striped taffeta dress I made for Jon and Tracy’s wedding. I kept it simple and it took me less than a full day to make it! I used the same technique for the skirt portion that I used in this post, but used shirring rather than pleating, created a larger sweep, and added pockets. The most fun challenge of this project was making sure all of the stripes were spaced out, and lined up perfectly.
how fun!
