I was able to start working on my bridesmaid dress alterations this past week. I meant to take pictures of the pinning and ripping apart of the seams, but i totally forgot. So you’ll have to be satisfied with a simple before and after. Since the most prominent detail about the Jcrew dress is the rouching held by a tab of fabric at the neckline, it made most sense to alter, embellish, or remove that detail from 3 out of 4 of the dresses.
Below you can see how I completely removed that detail from Jenn’s dress and transformed it into a sweet heart neckline. The next step will be to add a belted bow or sash detail. Once that is complete, I think I’ll get started on my sister’s ruffled neckline =)
Nothing short of remarkable. I can’t wait to wear it 🙂
